My name is Anna Massera. I have been working as a professional translator since 2007. I translate from German, English and Spanish into Italian, which is my native language. I have always lived in the beautiful province of Reggio Emilia, North of Italy. In 2006, I obtained a master’s degree with honours in European and Euro-American Civilisation and Languages from the University of Parma.
I have always wanted to help people communicate, so it made sense to become a translator.
Immediately after graduating, I took my first steps in the world of translation, working for four years as an employee in a translation studio in my city. During that period, I was responsible for translations, revisions, the creation of specific glossaries and the management of relationships with clients and external translators.
In 2011, I decided to become a freelance translator so that I could choose projects that matched my skills and interests. I also make sure that I keep learning so that I can get better at my job. I’m curious by nature, so I like to explore what I read and translate in depth, from every angle.
